The Eastern Yellow-bellied Hornbill lives in eastern African savannas and open woodlands. Its large yellow bill is topped by a casque.
A thick, curved yellow bill is topped by a casque, and the bird has a strong neck to support it.
It nests in a tree hollow. The female stays inside while incubating, and the male seals the entrance with mud, leaving a small opening through which he feeds her.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
