Records of the Pará Spiny Tree-rat include evergreen forest along Brazil's Xingu River. The available natural-history account is based on only a few specimens.
The species account describes pale buffy upperparts, white throat, chest, parts of the sides and feet, a fawn-colored belly, and a brown tail ending in a thin tuft.
Along the Xingu River, two individuals were caught at about 4 m and 10 m in vines on trees in tall evergreen forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
