This sand-gray dove has a white crescent mark on its wings. It picks up seeds from the ground and may fly in flocks.
The head, breast, and back are sandy gray, while the wings and tail are darker gray-brown. A white crescent on the wing can show both in flight and at rest. Adults have bright blue bare skin around the brown eye and red legs.
It feeds mainly on seeds found on the ground and may fly in flocks. During breeding, it defends territory with wing-striking fights.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
