A Philippine forest pigeon with a striking red breast that searches for food on the ground.
Its breast is red, its back greenish blue, its wings brown, and its belly pale cream.
It feeds on seeds, fallen fruit, and insects on the forest floor. When alarmed, it runs or makes short hops to hide.
