The Large-billed Parrotlet is a small parrot of lowlands from southeastern Colombia to western Brazil. Males have blue wing markings; females are green and less yellow overall.
It is green overall, with slightly yellower underparts. Males have pale blue markings, pale gray-purple primary coverts, and dark purple-blue secondary coverts; females are green and less yellow overall.
It uses lowland rainforest edges and secondary growth. Its original use of open river-edge habitat is an inference. The wild diet is poorly known but is thought to consist mainly of fruit and seeds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
