A wild cat found across much of Africa and parts of Asia, with coat color and markings that vary by region.
In the Arabian Peninsula, it is similar in size to a large domestic cat but more slender. Its coat ranges from sandy to gray, and some individuals have no spots or stripes on the body or legs.
Wild individuals in the Arabian Peninsula are solitary and mainly active around dusk and at night. They hunt mostly small rodents and may use burrows dug by other animals.
