This bat is known from a few specimens from Java.
The back is reddish brown with pale hair tips; the underside is darker brown with pale tips. The face, ears, and wing membranes are blackish.
It is described as nocturnal.
Head-and-body length is 47–56mm and tail length is 37–42mm.
The wing membranes attach at the base of the toes, and the tail projects beyond the membrane between the hind legs.
