This small squirrel lives in lowland forests of northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda. Its back has orange, black, and cream stripes, and it searches for food on trees by day.
An orange stripe runs from the shoulders partway down the back, bordered by thin black and cream stripes. Short white hairs line the ears.
It is active by day and moves over trees while searching along branch surfaces for food. It usually forages alone, although pairs are also seen.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
