The blind mole is a small mole with tiny eyes and digging forefeet. It lives mainly underground and is recorded in mountainous parts of Italy.
Its broad, spade-shaped forefeet are suited to digging. Its eyes are tiny and covered by the eyelids, so they are barely visible from outside.
It digs tunnels and lives underground, eating earthworms, other small soil animals, and insect larvae.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
