The Manus Friarbird is a large honeyeater recorded on Manus and nearby islands in Papua New Guinea’s Admiralty Group.
It has a black face, a white ruff around the neck, a brown mantle and whitish underparts.
Records include feeding on banana and pau flowers. The 2014 paper notes that the species' ecology is poorly documented and reports observations in lowland swampy forest and coconut plantations.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
