The Tawny Grassbird hides among grasses and shrubs. This entry presents behaviour recorded by a local field guide on Cebu in the Philippines.
Adults have a dull rufous-brown streaked crown, a pale eyebrow, and pale throat and underparts. Juveniles are streaked too, but their plumage differs from adults.
The Cebu field guide records birds using tall grass and shrubs for cover and moving between bushes while calling.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
