Stoliczka's Bushchat searches for insects in dry grassland and semi-desert. The male changes appearance between seasons.
In summer plumage, the male is blackish above and white below, with a buff-tinged breast and white markings on the eyebrow, wings and tail. Females, juveniles and winter males are browner, with pale buff where summer males are white.
It uses dry grassland, shrubby vegetation and semi-desert. Its diet is mostly insects, especially beetles and ants, and also includes flying insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
