This bat has pale areas in its wing membranes. It is recorded in separated parts of Africa and in savannas, grasslands, thickets, woodlands, and other forests.
The wing membrane between the forearm and fingers is white to buff, while the sides are brown. The guide also records four upper cheek-teeth as an identification feature.
Kenyan records are from southeastern coastal mosaics. Across its African records it occurs in savanna woodland, grassland-thicket mosaics, and several forest or woodland types, but not in rainforest zones.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
