The eastern woolly lemur is a nocturnal lemur of eastern Madagascar, marked by woolly back fur and a white stripe on the thighs.
Dense, curly back fur ranges from gray-brown to reddish. A white stripe marks the thighs, and the ears are mostly hidden by thick fur.
It is nocturnal and eats mostly leaves, with fruit and flowers sometimes added. During the day it often rests close to others in tree forks below the canopy, though it may also rest in dense low vegetation.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
