The Maui Alauahio is a small Hawaiian honeycreeper. Its surviving population lives in Maui's highlands and mainly eats small invertebrates.
Adult males are olive-green above, with a bright yellow face, throat, and belly. Females look similar but are generally paler.
It gleans small invertebrates from leaves and woody parts of plants. Adults defend territories throughout the year.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
