The Kimberley Honeyeater occurs in the northern Kimberley region of Western Australia. An observation-based account records it in sandstone gorges with creeks or rivers and nearby areas.
It is about 17–20.5 cm long, with a streaked grey-brown front, a darker olive-grey back, a fine yellow line below the eye, and a blue iris.
The account describes a medium-sized nectar-feeder associated with sandstone gorges that have creeks or rivers and nearby areas.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
