The Black Oriole has glossy black plumage and red eyes. It occurs in the northwestern part of Borneo.
Adults are almost entirely glossy black, with dark chestnut undertail coverts, crimson irises, and a dull pink bill. The female has a grayer lower breast and belly; juveniles resemble females.
It forages in the canopy alone, in pairs, or in small groups, eating fruit and invertebrates, including winged termites.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
