Pohle's fruit bat is recorded in lowland and montane forest around Mount Cameroon in southwestern Cameroon. White facial markings, together with ear and canine features, help identify it.
White markings occur on the head, especially around the muzzle and above the eyes. These marks are shared with close relatives; ear and canine characters are also used for identification.
The Mount Cameroon checklist reports solitary roosting in dense vegetation in lowland and montane forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
