The Sage Thrasher is a small bird of western North America, where sagebrush steppe is widespread. In spring, males sing from high perches.
It is the smallest thrasher and has a brown, spotted appearance. It lacks the bold white wing flashes seen in some related birds.
It searches for insects beneath sagebrush. Outside the breeding season, it may gather in flocks numbering in the hundreds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
