The capped langur has a cap-like tuft of hair on its crown. In one group studied in northeastern India, leaves made up most of the observed feeding time.
Its face, limb tips, and tail are black, while the body coat ranges from silvery gray to yellow. The crown hair rises like a cap.
In a 12-month study of one group at Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary in India, 68% of feeding time was spent on leaves, 16% on flowers, and 16% on fruit.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
