The Pacific jumping mouse is a small North American rodent of meadows and stream edges that feeds mainly on plant material.
It has a long tail, and its flanks are a deeper orange than those of the related Zapus princeps.
It uses meadows and moist streamside habitat and eats plant foods such as grass seeds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
