Blue Roan

The AKC glossary gives blue roan as an example of a coat in which black and white hairs are finely mixed. The Brittany standard allows orange or liver with white in roan patterns but disqualifies black in the coat, so roan does not always mean blue roan. Its colour range must be read in the relevant breed standard.
