The Yellow-green Brushfinch is restricted to the highlands of west-central Panama. It has a dark crown and wings, yellow-green underparts, and forages near or on the ground.
A slender, long-tailed finch, it is dull olive-green with a black cap, wings, and tail. The sides of the head and throat are dusky grey; the underparts are yellowish olive, with bright yellow thighs and a yellow bend of the wing.
It uses humid montane forest, forest borders, and clearings at about 1,200–1,800 m, and forages near or on the ground. The source says its diet is little known.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
