Otto's sportive lemur was described from northwestern Madagascar. The animals examined for the species description were captured at Ambodimahabibo.
The back and arms are gray-brown. A diffuse dark line runs from the head down the back but does not continue onto the tail. The underside is gray to cream, and the tail is gray-brown to dark brown.
The paper describes sportive lemurs as nocturnal and arboreal, with dispersed pairs. It does not provide a detailed species-specific diet for L. otto.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
