This bush-warbler occurs on Luzon and Mindanao in the Philippines. Adults are rufescent brown above, with a greyish-white chin and throat.
Adults have rufescent-brown upperparts, greyish-white chin and throat, and dusky breast streaks. The book uses Bradypterus caudatus: northern Luzon birds have a particularly long tail, while Mindanao unicolor has a shorter robust tail and darker underparts.
It uses mossy mountain forest floors, forest edges and secondary growth, searching on the ground for invertebrates.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
