The Bhutan Laughingthrush occurs in the eastern Himalayas and searches for food near the ground in woodland and scrub.
Its dark maroon-brown body has fine pale streaks; the crown is mostly unstreaked, and the lores and ear-coverts are pale.
It uses hillside scrub, open woodland, edges, and gardens. It walks on the ground in small groups, feeding on insects, fruits, and seeds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
