The Wetar Ground Dove is a ground-dwelling dove whose plumage differs strongly between males and females.
Adult males have a blue-gray head, a reddish-brown neck, a pale breast, and a dark belly. Females have rusty-colored heads and breasts, with olive-brown upperparts and belly.
It walks and forages on the ground by day in lowland monsoon forest, and fruit is an important part of its diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
