A large seabird named for the dark line above its eye. It breeds on Antarctic and subantarctic islands and catches krill and fish near the sea surface.
It is mostly white with grey on the wings, a yellow bill, yellowish-orange webbed feet, and a distinct black eyebrow.
It flies low and takes food from the sea surface or just below it. It eats mainly krill and fish, and also some squid and other marine animals.
