The Superb Fairy-wren lives in southeastern Australia. Breeding males show vivid blue plumage, and the species is known for living in small groups.
Breeding males have vivid blue on the head, ear coverts, and cheeks. Females and males outside the breeding season are mainly brown, so plumage differs by sex and season.
It searches through low vegetation for insects and other small arthropods. Groups can include a breeding pair and young birds, which may help their parents.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
