The Bar-winged Flycatcher-shrike is a small black-and-white bird that sallies from a perch to catch insects. It lives in open forest and forest edges, often in pairs or small groups.
Males have a black cap and back set against white underparts and white wing bars.
It uses open forest, forest edges, and secondary growth. From an exposed perch it makes short aerial sallies to catch insects, often joining mixed-species flocks in pairs or small parties.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
