This langur occurs in central Sumatra. Field visits from 2016 to 2022 recorded it in forest and rubber-growing landscapes and documented feeding on rubber-tree and leaves of mango (Mangifera sp.).
Adults have dark or grayish-black backs and outer arms, contrasting with white underparts, limbs, throat, inner tail, and tail tip. The face is dark gray, with a black muzzle and a forehead fringe.
During 2016–2022 visits, researchers observed it in degraded forest and rubber plantations and confirmed feeding on rubber-tree and leaves of mango (Mangifera sp.).
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
