The Dark-brown Pipistrelle occurs in West and Central Africa. A taxonomic study describes its dark wing membranes, and a separate survey captured it in secondary forest in Guinea.
The taxonomic study describes its wing membranes as dark. In the authors’ comparison, its forearm and most skull measurements are much smaller than those of Pseudoromicia kityoi.
In a 2017 survey, it was one of three bat species caught in mist nets in secondary forest at Koundou Forest, Guinea, at 411 m. This single site record does not establish its diet or activity times.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
