The rich cinnamon coat has golden tips that create a frosted look on the back. Sparse hairs occur on both sides of the ears, and the tail is shorter than the head and body.
The only known specimen reported in the paper was an adult female caught in a mist net across a small road at 2,100 m in central Taiwan. The surrounding vegetation was temperate evergreen forest.
