The grivet is a monkey of northeastern Africa. A forest study in northern Ethiopia recorded a diet that changed with the season.
Its dark facial skin, white line above the eyes and dark hands and feet are useful identifying features.
At Batiero Church Forest, it often fed on Acacia and juniper, with seeds and leaves also eaten during the early dry and dry seasons. Feeding was the most frequently recorded activity.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
