The Mongalla free-tailed bat is a free-tailed bat with few records in West Africa.
In the survey, several body measurements, including tail and forearm, were smaller than in a similar free-tailed bat; skull measurements alone did not distinguish the two.
In Burkina Faso, records came from near the Nazinon River and from grassy steppe beside a stream. The records examined were all in the country’s far-southern South-Sudanian zone.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
