The Zanzibar red colobus has a coat of red, black and white. It occurs on islands in the Zanzibar Archipelago off Tanzania and feeds often on young leaves.
The upper back and shoulders are black, while the middle and lower back range from orange to red-brown. The chest, belly and inner limbs are white to gray, with individual variation in the extent of these colors.
It lives in groups and eats mainly young leaves. Unripe fruit, seeds and flowers are also part of its diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
