The web-footed tenrec is a tenrec that spends most of its active time in fast-flowing streams in Madagascar's humid forests.
Its feet are broadly webbed, with stiff hairs along the hind feet. It has a short, flattened head, small eyes and ears nearly hidden in its fur.
It leaves its burrow at night, and most of its activity occurs in water. Aquatic insect larvae are the main food reported; stomach contents have also included small crayfish, frogs, fish and shrimp.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
