Martens’s Warbler (Seicercus omeiensis) breeds in China and winters in Southeast Asia. In Hong Kong it is a rare winter visitor to closed-canopy woodland and shrubland.
It is about 11–12 cm long, with a complete yellow eye-ring, grey median crown stripe, and greenish upperparts. The underparts are often dull yellow but vary in intensity; wing bars are usually absent.
It forages unobtrusively in the forest understorey, making short flights to catch insects. Hong Kong records are few; the source describes it as one of the rarest “goldspec” warblers there.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
