Juliana's golden mole tunnels through sandy soil in South Africa, and its eyes and ears are covered by fur.
The forefeet have especially large claws; webbed hind feet push soil backward. Its body is streamlined, and fur covers the eyes and ears.
It moves alone underground and forages near the surface in the afternoon and at night; activity may increase after rain.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
