This white-eye is endemic to Kolombangara Island in the Solomon Islands. A study recorded high-elevation flocks and birds returning to the same fruiting trees on successive days.
The field account notes gray legs as a way to distinguish this species from Zosterops rendovae, whose legs are orange.
The study recorded flocks of up to 30 birds from 800 m to the summit. Individuals sometimes visited the same fruiting trees on successive days, and they were observed feeding on small laurel fruits.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
