A monkey with an upturned nose and a tail longer than its body. It has been recorded in forests of northeastern Myanmar and southern China, but much of its ecology remains poorly known.
Its nose turns upward and its tail is reported to be longer than its body. Local people have also said that rainwater can enter the nose and make the monkey sneeze on rainy days.
Fauna & Flora reports that it spends summer in high-altitude mixed temperate forest and may descend closer to villages in winter when snow makes food harder to find. Much of its ecology remains poorly known.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
