This long-tailed rodent has been confirmed in Armenian mountain habitat. Its description and known distribution rely heavily on a small number of males collected near Ankavan.
The back is greyish reddish-brown and unstriped, with more yellowish sides and cheeks; the underside is grey-white. The tail is described as about one and a half times the body length.
Capture records suggest nocturnal activity. Literature reports insects and plant foods, but information on its wild diet is limited.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
