The clear-winged woolly bat is a small bat with pale fur and nearly translucent wing membranes. It occurs on islands in Southeast Asia, with records of roosting in dead leaves.
Its dorsal fur is long, soft, and pale reddish-brown; the underside is paler. The large ears are pale brown, and the wing and tail membranes are very pale and nearly translucent. Fur color varies slightly among islands.
On Palawan, one female with a suckling young was caught by hand from dried banana leaves. Other locality records describe roosts in dead understory leaves, and groups of up to about 15 in Peninsular Malaysia.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
