This dove spends much of its time near the forest floor. Its blue-gray to bronzy head and white marks around the eye stand out in evergreen forest and nearby regrowth.
The forehead, throat, and area below the eye are white. A dark purplish-black stripe extends from below the eye, while the crown and nape range from blue-gray to bronzy green.
It lives in the undergrowth of lowland and montane evergreen forest, including areas near streams and second growth. Detailed information about its diet is limited, so no food is specified here.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
