Matinan Blue Flycatcher is a montane flycatcher of the Minahasa Peninsula in northern Sulawesi. A study observed it in evergreen montane forest and recorded its repeated, clear song.
Observed birds had brown upperparts, slightly darker wings, and a buff-ochre vent. The bill was broad at the base and fine at the tip, and the head could appear slightly gray.
The 2002 study found it in broad-leaved evergreen montane forest on Gunung Ambang and Gunung Banga and recorded repeated song phrases of rapid, clear notes.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
