The Jamaican Elaenia is a small tyrant flycatcher of humid montane and foothill forests in Jamaica.
It is a small, perky flycatcher with a dark eyeline and short whitish eyebrow. Its upperparts are olive-brown, the throat whitish, and the breast and belly yellowish.
It forages at different heights, from high undergrowth to the canopy, and often perches horizontally on branches.
A bright yellow stripe runs along the crown.
The bill is thin and black, and the secondary and tertial feathers have yellow edges. The wingbars are very faint, almost absent.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
