The Rufous-capped Babbler is a small bird marked by a bright rufous crown. It works through forest undergrowth and often travels with mixed flocks of small birds.
Its crown is bright rufous, while the mantle, wings, and tail are dark brown. The face, throat, and underside are buffy yellow, and the cap stops short of the nape and eyes.
It searches dense undergrowth, tangles, and accumulations of dead leaves, often as part of a flock of small birds. It is thought to take invertebrates, but its diet has not been well studied in Hong Kong.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
