The Choroy is a gregarious, noisy parakeet. Groups feed in trees or on the ground while a sentinel watches; alarm calls can send the flock into flight.
It is dark green overall, with dark red on the forehead, lores, eye-ring, and tail, a long pointed upper mandible, and blue-green wing coverts.
Groups feed in trees and on the ground; a sentinel gives an alarm call when danger approaches. Forests are used for living and nesting, while grasslands are also used to feed.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
