This mouse is endemic to Mindanao. Its long, slender hind feet, long digits, and pads suggest it may climb or use trees. In the Kitanglad Range, it was caught at night in mossy forest.
It has a relatively long tail, long slender hind feet and digits, short recurved claws, and prominent pads on its palms and soles.
Researchers caught ten individuals at night in the Kitanglad Range. Plant material made up most of the stomach contents in four animals, leading the authors to suggest a tendency to eat seeds and fruit.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
