The common sword-nosed bat ranges from southern Mexico through Central America into South America. It is found mainly in forests and eats insects.
Its fur is brown and also covers the dorsal forearms, ears, and underside of the noseleaf. ADW gives a body-length range, omitted here.
It may roost in large groups, sometimes alongside other bats, but the account says it waits until full darkness before emerging. It mainly eats insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
